Happy Cinco de Mayo!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo I thought we would feature a food and tequila pairing.  Pairing tequila with food is very much like pairing wine.  You look for things like acidity, freshness, tannins and bitterness to help enhance different dishes.  There are three main types of tequila, Anejo, Silver and Reposado tequila. We are pairing the Silver (Blanco) tequila with shrimp ceviche. The color of this tequila is clear and is not aged. The blue agave plant has a strong forward finish.

We invite all Windsor Oaks  “Friends of the Vineyard Wine Club “and their guests to visit us at the Vino de Mayo party on May 4th.

Along with wines, enjoy delicious, festive Mexican Fare and take a swing at breaking our piñata filled with special prizes!
